Virginia

Virginia Required Courses: 8 Hours
Green Financing
The course deals with rules and regulations, contracts issues, and green financing practices. This is a required course in Virginia.

Both Maryland and DC courses satisfy the 8 hour requirement for Virginia.
Maryland
Requirements for Maryland: 9 hours of Maryland required which includes 1.5 hours of Maryland Fair Housing, and 4.5 hours of Maryland electives
For commercial agents only: no fair housing requirement and an additional hour and a half of electives.
For Team Leaders, Principal Brokers, and Branch Office Managers only: 3 hours of supervision, which take the place of 3 hours of electives
Maryland Required Courses: 9 Hours
Maryland Ethics
The course is an in-depth MD code of ethics, the student gets a unique perspective of how these all these fit together to form an ethical worldview. This is a required course in Maryland.
Satisfies 3 hours of topic (d) Ethics requirement and *3 hours of elective credit for DC and VA.
Maryland Legal Update
This course provides the licensee with an up to date analysis of the current legal issues facing Maryland licensees. This is a required course in Maryland.
Satisfies 3 hours of topic (a) required and *3 hours of elective credit for DC and VA.
Maryland Commercial/Residential Agency
This course is the Maryland real estate commission approved mandatory.
Satisfies 3 hours of agency course for commercial/residential licensees.
Maryland Fair Housing
This course is the Maryland real estate commission approved mandatory fair-housing course for residential licensees.
Satisfies 1.5 hours of Fair Housing for non-commercial designated licensees.
Maryland Supervision Course
This course is the Maryland real estate commission approved mandatory supervision course for Team Leaders, Principal Brokers, and Branch Office Managers
Satisfies 3 hours of supervision for all licensees.
Maryland Electives: 6 Hours or less based on the licensees’ requirements

Washington D.C.
Requirements for Washington D.C.: 9 hours of D.C. required, 6 hours of D.C. electives, and for brokers or associate brokers only, 8 hours of Washington D.C. broker management

DC Legislative Update and Landlord Tenant Rights
This course is an update of all current legal and regulatory issues affecting DC licensees. It also deals specifically with tenant rights issues and violations. This is a required course in DC.
Satisfies 3 hours requirement for legislative update and landlord tenant rights and *3 hours of elective credit for VA and MD.
DC Fair Housing and Predatory Lending Update
The course deals with Fair Housing rules and regulations and predatory lending issues. The course examines fair housing guidelines and cases both local and national. This is a required course in DC.
Satisfies 3 hours of Fair Housing and predatory lending requirement and *3 hours of VA elective credit.
DC Ethics
The course is an in-depth DC code of ethics, the student gets a unique perspective of how these all these fit together to form an ethical worldview. This is a required course in DC.
